About Me
I am an energetic and patient tutor with over 10 years of experience tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students in a wide range of subjects. My goal as a tutor is to help students navigate challenging courses and concepts, build confidence in their own abilities, and discover their academic passion. I have helped students improve by multiple letter grades, prepare for standardized tests, and get into prep schools and colleges. I am available in person in the Nashville area and virtually for students across the country, and my rates will be competitive with those in your area. When I lived in Baltimore, I tutored students from the Bryn Mawr School, the Friends School of Baltimore, Mercy High School, Archbishop Curley High School, and the Catholic High School of Baltimore. Here in Nashville, I've worked with students from Ensworth. I look forward to helping your students with their studies.

Testimonials

"Jill tutored my two kids throughout middle and high school in Spanish, advanced mathematics, and chemistry. Her abilities in adapting to individual learning styles, to all types of circumstances (online lessons, document editing, to campus and home visits) and flexible time schedule made her the perfect fit for our family. Jill became a weekly fixture at our home and the homes of several other families based upon the strength of my recommendation and the academic success of my children."

"Jill was a wonderful math tutor for our 8th-grader. She was always well-prepared, enthusiastic, and eager to meet my daughter at her level of learning. Timely, efficient, and effective, Jill understood the needs of my child and patiently communicated multiple strategies for learning and reviewing challenging problems and concepts. Perhaps most importantly, she helped instill a sense of confidence, curiosity, and playfulness about the subject at hand that had transformative results and helped my daughter transition well into high school math."
